Mrs. Paluckmas Apiwongngarm
Born in 1968. My ancestors are from Chan, a country now a part of Thailand and Burma. We call ourselves Tai Yai or Ngeaw. I married into a Yong family, Yong and Ngeaw have slightly different ingredients in cooking, we Ngeaw use fermented soy bean while the Yong prefer fermented krill and fish as their salting agent. Adapting to a new way of cooking took me a while. My son is a teacher in Bangkok. I came to work here since 1996. Back then, we only have 2 buildings but right now we have 5. I remember there was not mobile phone but a huge heavy phone.
I am in charge of answering telephone, dealing with shipping and exhibitions. My free time I also help Kung with Fabric Lace Garland. I get to learn various types of handicrafts here. I am so glad I found a good work place so close to home and meet lots of new friends. Bua Bhat is like a second home to me.
